La educación a distancia: sus características y necesidad en la educación actual

Abstract

El presente artículo destaca la relevancia de la educación a distancia mediante la identificación de sus características, y haciendo referencia a las diferencias existentes con la educación presencial. Del mismo modo, precisa los conceptos de educación virtual y e-learning, y aborda el rol e importancia de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC) en esta modalidad educativa. Por otro lado, el texto incide en reconocer los alcances de esta modalidad en el ámbito de la educación superior. === ===ABSTRACT=== === This article stresses the relevance of the distance education in the current education and society.
