Infâncias em uma vila popular urbana : pequenos sonhos na rudeza do cotidiano

Abstract

Esta tese teve como foco investigar e compreender os fatores inter-relacionais que envolvem e constituem o contexto de vida das crianças de uma vila popular urbana de Porto Alegre. Os quais determinam seu modo de ser e de estar no presente, e os intercursos/relações com a instituição de Educação Infantil construída e gerenciada pelos moradores da comunidade para atender a esta infância. Neste movimento de pesquisa busquei compreender as inter-relações existentes entre: crianças provenientes das camadas mais pobres da população (crianças populares) – vida infantil de mendicância – comunidade popular – políticas sociais – educação da primeira infância – creches comunitárias conveniadas com a Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Porto Alegre – estratégias utilizadas pela comunidade para sobreviver e melhorar de vida. Para tanto convivi com a comunidade da vila por cerca de quase três anos participando e dividindo com crianças e adultos, dentro e fora da creche, seus problemas, alegrias, frustrações, sonhos, buscando compreender as condições de vida que constituem o cotidiano das pessoas, sobretudo das crianças na faixa etária de 0 a 06 anos, que vivem naquela comunidade e suas práticas de relacionamentos sociais entre elas e com a instituição educacional da Vila. A compreensão dessa rede de inter-relações é importante porque nela estão impressos os elementos e as circunstâncias concretas que conformam o modo de ser e estar no mundo das crianças, ou seja, o modo como suas infâncias são construídas. A fim de contextualizar teoricamente a investigação, foram estudados os aspectos mais significativos da construção histórica da idéia de infância, na modernidade e na pósmodernidade, assim como alguns dos elementos principais das políticas sociais para a educação infantil oferecida à população carente do país. A imersão na vida da comunidade permitiu-me relatar e paralelamente analisar as vivências com as crianças e educadoras da creche e as relações da comunidade com a instituição. Como parâmetros para essas análises, elegi os aspectos que predominaram no ambiente investigado: o tempo dos sonhos e a realidade da Vila: a rudeza, a pobreza e a violência no contexto social e na vida das crianças; o cotidiano das relações entre crianças e adultos da comunidade: sobre as estratégias das quais são lançadas mão para sobreviver; o educar como um desafio: a creche e suas rotinas do cuidado; e por fim, as representações e sonhos das educadoras da creche. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This thesis had as focus to investigate and to understand the inter-related facts that involve and constitute the children’s life context from a popular urban village of Porto Alegre. Which determine their way of being in the current time, and the intercourses/relations with the institution of Infantile Education, constructed and managed by the community citizens to assist their childhood. In this research movement I tried to understand the existing inter-relations among: children from the poorest population (popular children) – beggary childhood life – popular community – social politics – first childhood education – community nurseries in agreement with Educational Municipal Department of Porto Alegre – strategies used by the community to survive and get better life. So that, I lived about three years in the community participating and sharing with children and adults, inside and outside the nursery, their problems, happiness, frustrations, dreams, always trying to understand life conditions which constitute the everyday life, principally children from 0 to 6 years, who live in the community and their social relationship with educational institution. The importance to understand this inter-relation net is because on it, it’s printed the factual elements and circumstances which mold the way of being in children world, in other words, the way how their childhood is constructed. In order to contextualize theoretically the investigation, it has been studied the significant aspects of historical construction of childhood idea, in the modernity and pos-modernity era. As well as, some social politics elements to infantile education offered to needed population. The immersion in the community life permitted me to relate and analyze the relationship between children and their nursery teachers and also the relation between the community and the institution. It was selected the most important aspects to be analyzed, such as: the dream time and the village reality; the rudeness; the poverty and the violence in the social context and in children’s life; the everyday relations between children and adults from the community; about the strategies used to survive; the education as a challenge; the nursery and its everyday careful, and at last, the representations and dreams of the nursery teachers.
