Conciencia cívica de la población adolescente en Andalucía

Abstract

Este trabajo es una adaptación del cuestionario CiVed'99 a la población adolescente de la región de Andalucía. El proceso de adaptación consistió en la construcción del significado del constructo buen ciudadano en el contexto social y cultural de la población adolescente andaluza. Los resultados del cuestionario fueron compilados en torno al concepto de conciencia cívica de la población adolescente, desplegados en tres hitos: conciencia de las obligaciones políticas, obligaciones sociales y patriotismo. Los resultados revelan algunos desajustes entre la política andaluza de educación para la ciudadanía y las tendencias europeas en esta materia, así como contradicciones internas en la política de Andalucía en relación con la teoría y la práctica del discurso sobre educación para la ciudadanía. La conclusión de este trabajo aboga por nuevos modos de gestión de las escuelas para llevar a cabo una ciudadanía activa, según un paradigma de justicia social.

This study is an adaptation of the CiVed'99 questionnaire to the teenage population in the Andalusia autonomous region. The adaptation process consisted of the construction of the meaning of the "good citizen" construct within the social and cultural context of the region's teenage population. The results of the questionnaire were gathered around the concept of civic conscience of the teenage population divided in three categories: conscience of the political duties, social obligations and patriotism. They show some imbalance between the Andalusian policies for education to citizenship and the European tendencies in this matter, and also internal contradictions in the Andalusian policies related to the theory and practice in the discourse about education to citizenship. In the conclusion the author defends new ways to administrate schools in order to achieve an active citizenship according to a paradigm of social justice.
