Por uma fisioterapia que pergunte pela criança : a construção epistemológica e política de uma práxis

Abstract

A tese intitulada Por uma Fisioterapia que Pergunte pela Criança: a construção epistemológica e política de uma práxis investiga fatores que contribuem para processos de inclusão ou exclusão de crianças 0 a 3 anos com problemas no seu desenvolvimento e o imbricamento desta problemática com a formação e a atuação profissional do fisioterapeuta a partir do trabalho realizado no Centro Materno-Infantil, durante os anos de 1998 a 2001. Ao estabelecer as categorias: concepção de infância, interações sociais e relações de poder, apontamos o corpo teórico do qual partiu a nossa análise. O caminho metodológico foi sendo construído a partir do mergulho nos dados oriundos do nosso objeto de estudo iluminados pelo referencial teórico sócio-histórico e amparado na experiência acumulada por investigações similares. Compilamos os fatores de exclusão e inclusão detectados, na atuação e formação do fisioterapeuta, no trabalho com a criança. Finalmente, a experiência no CMI mostrou que a Fisioterapia, a depender de seu direcionamento, pode contribuir para abrir brechas no muro de estigmas, preconceitos, medos, formados ao redor de crianças com problemas de desenvolvimento motor, muro este que as isola e/ou dificulta sua inclusão social.

The thesis entilted by a Physiotherapy that asks for the child: the construction epistemology and politics of a praxis tries to investigate factors that contribute to the process of inclusion or exclusion of children from 0 to 3 years old with problems in its development and its relations with the formation and physiotherapist´s practise starting from the work acomplished at the Centro Materno-infantil(Maternal Infantile Center ) during the years 1998 to 2001.When establishing the categories: childhood conception, social interactions and relationships of power , we aimed the theoretical body of which started our analysis. However, the methodological road was built from the dive in the derived data from our study object lit up by theory reference historical-social and supported in the performance and physiotherapist´s formation on the work with the child. Finally, the experience at CMI showed that the physiotherapy can contribute to open breaches in the wall of stigmas, prejudices, fears, formed around children with motor problems development, this wall which isolates them or it hinders its social inclusion.
