Charting the Course of Education and HIV
Abstract
It provides an overview of the evolution of the role of the education sector and its approaches to HIV education, what has been learned, emerging challenges and opportunities, and future directions. Its themes include policy and funding, teacher training, HIV education content and delivery, and monitoring and measurement. The role of the education sector in responding to HIV and the contribution of school-based HIV education are issues that have been, and continue to be, the subject of much debate. The book explores these debates and proposes a way forward.
