La pedagogía hospitalaria como alternativa formativa

Abstract

En este artículo se presenta el trabajo que se viene realizando en el Instituto Nacional del Niño a través de la Asociación Aprendo Contigo como programa educativo recreativo que permite que los niños enfermos que ven impedida su escolaridad, tengan acceso a ella mientras están internados en los hospitales donde opera. Su misión es acompañar a los niños y jóvenes hospitalizados durante su permanencia en el hospital brindándoles educación y compañía. Este programa está adaptado a la realidad peruana ya que los niños atendidos provienen de muchas zonas del país con diferentes niveles de instrucción e incluso diferentes lenguas. La gran mayoría de niños proviene de lugares de extrema pobreza y condiciones sanitarias deficientes. En este artículo exponemos las razones por las que consideramos que la pedagogía hospitalaria a través del Programa Aprendo Contigo es una excelente alternativa formativa para los futuros docentes. === ABSTRACT==== This article presents the work that is being done in the Aprendo Contigo program at the Instituto Nacional del Niño (National Children’s Institute) in Lima, Peru. Aprendo Contigo is an educational program that targets hospitalized children and young adults around Lima who have had to stop attending school and provides them with access to education tools during their hospital stay. The mission of Aprendo Contigo is to provide company and education to these children and young adults during their time in the hospital. It should be noted that this program has been tailored to Peruvian reality— most of the children in the program come from from all over the country with different levels of education and even different languages. The vast majority of these children also come from areas of extreme poverty and poor sanitary conditions. The program is adapted to fit their needs. In this article, we will examine the reasons why we believe that the hospital pedagogy learned through Aprendo Contigo is an excellent training alternative for future teachers.
